Deep Structural Characteristics and Prospecting Potential of Huayangchuan Uranium Deposit Based on Geophysical Field

    • In recent years, significant progress has been achieved in the exploration of Huayangchuan uranium polymetallic ore, and the distribution of shallow ore bodies has been mainly identified. However, the deep tectonic development and complex terrain of the Huayangchuan area in the North Qinling Mountains, as well as a lack of early research on the characteristics of the deep tectonics, have limited the blind search for uranium polymetallic ore in Huayangchuan. In this paper, the deep tectonic features of the Huayangchuan uranium-polymetallic ore zone are studied using aerial gravity, magnetic and ground electromagnetic profiles, combined with available geological data, and it is concluded that the Huashan rock mass and the Laoniu Mountain rock mass are evidently controlled by deep faults. Combined with the new understanding of the source of uranium ore in Huayangchuan, it is inferred that the deep part of Huayangchuan uranium polymetallic ore zone has further mineralization potential.
